Participants always play against the the house (the casino). If the player's playing cards beat the the house's, the player wins.

Special Cases

The gambler must always make bets if s/he is sitting at the table. If the gambler does not participate, i.e. makes no bets, s/he mechanically quits the table and becomes a spectator.

The time for performing gambler's actions is limited. If the player does not perform an action during that time, it is considered a "connection failure": the better quits the table and the bet is returned to the better's account.
